Understanding Life’s Mystery

This is a poem/play on words thinger I wrote on the bus to Toronto one day. I think it was for a Drama class, but I’m not entirely sure. Anywhoo: see if you can find life’s answer to understanding life’s mystery!

Understanding Life’s Mystery

By: Andrew “Self” Kipp

Another excuse for dragging your petty ideals into an unappreciating world

Clearing your name of your self inflicted sins and pains

Creating a prison to lock your emotions in to avoid an unnecessary wound

Elevating all tensions to misconstrue your beliefs you abandon so readily

Preaching what you’ve failed to a generation that only cares about material possessions

Triumph of the few gifted and leaving the rest to rot in the mud

Abiding laws only when observed and stabbing reason in the back when disclosed

Noting all the world’s sufferings but being to lazy to reach out and help

Clambering towards the gates of salvation dragging your friends away to save yourself

Ending your life in an inconceivable way to relieve yourself of guilt

What is the solution to Life’s Mysteries?
